Product Details 

AICS magazines have become the industry go-to for aftermarket DBM systems. Short action AICS magazines are DSSF meaning Double-stack, single-feed. Due to the size of .223 Rem, 5.56 Nato and similar cartridges, standard short action AICS magazines will not work. Accurate Magazines designed these AICS 223 magazines with an insert that helps keep the small case positioned correctly for optimal feeding. The magazine's feed-lips do have a plastic sheath for the smaller diameter so tuning these are limited. The 5.56/223 AICS magazine body is steel with a special black teflon coating.  

AICS Magazine Compatibility

These magazines are only compatible with chassis and stocks that use AICS bottom metal, they are NOT compatible with AR-15 rifles or similar. For Savage 223 rifles you will need to change the bolt stop to a standard 308 bolt stop. Can be purchased HERE. This allows the bolt to cycle far enough back to pick a cartridge up out of the magazine.
