Choosing a competition rifle can be a stressful task. The type of competition you do, your body type, the accessories you use and how you shoot all play into which rifle and platform you're most likely to feel comfortable with. At XLR Industries, we offer a variety of competition rifle chassis to cater to all tastes.
In this guide, we'll explore some of the options we offer for competition shooters to help you build the perfect rifle, whether it'll be used exclusively for target shooting or you're looking for something more versatile you can use for hunting as well.
Why XLR for Competition?
XLR competition chassis are ideal for long-range competitions. They offer:
- Uncompromising accuracy. These chassis are specifically designed for long-range shooters. Quality components, precision machining and perfect action inletting combine to produce a rigid design you can depend on to perform at the highest level.
- Unbeatable ergonomics. Tailor your rifle to suit your needs thanks to the adjustable length of pull, range of grip options and cheek rest adjustability. Find the perfect balance point and shoot with comfort and consistency.
- Unmatched modularity. The chassis is ARCA and M-LOK compatible, so it's easy to connect your preferred bipod, tripod, weights and other accessories. Whatever you like to use, you can connect it with ease.
XLR's competition chassis systems offer the same level of durability and quality you've come to expect from our tactical and hunting chassis and the versatility you need to tailor the gun for comfort, speed and accuracy in a competition environment.
All the XLR chassis systems are designed to be easy to install, with no need to visit a gunsmith. You can install the chassis at home with basic tools and head straight to the range to practice.

XLR Competition Chassis Systems
We offer a variety of competition shooting chassis, including the Element 4.0, which is a versatile chassis offering good value for money and the ability to customize the hardware for hunting, target and precision rifle competition.
The ENVY Pro is the result of extensive research and detailed feedback collected from our pro shooter team. We've listened to their thoughts and ideas and updated the design of the ENVY Pro to make it even more tunable, adding frequently requested features and tweaking the design.
The new ENVY pro offers unmatched versatility and performance, allowing shooters to customize the weight, length of pull and grip to suit their preferences. Tunable internal brass weights help you add weight to your system and find the perfect balance point, while a full-length ARCA Swiss/RRS dovetail makes it easy to quickly attach and detach bipods and tripods.
We've also added a keyed nose piece that can be used to attach a lightweight aluminum dovetail nosepiece or an extra-long brass one, depending on your weight and balance needs.

The Envy Pro has an ambidextrous design, and it supports a variety of action inlets, including:
- Remington 700 SA. The most widely used action inlet in Precision rifles. The Remintgon 700 SA chassis inlet is used by the nation's top shooters.
- Remington 700 LA 3.850”. This long-action Remington 700 is popular for extreme long range target shooting applications.
- Kelbly Black Bear Short Action. XLR was the first chassis manufacturer to provide a direct application for the Black Bear. This inlet is still used by some of the nation's top shooters who use the Kelbly Black Bear action.
- Tikka T3 (short action calibers only). The Tikka T3 action is gaining in popularity every year. Precision rifle shooters can take advantage of the reliable T3 action with this precision rifle chassis.
- Tikka T1. The Tikka T1x is commonly used for NRL 22 and PRS 22 Competitions. These actions are known for being extremely reliable.
- Savage Short Action with top release bolt. Savage actions are a very user-friendly action for shooters who prefer to do all the work themselves. Take advantage of easy barrel changes with the Savage short action.
Customize your rifle by choosing from a variety of chassis colors, buttstocks and grips. Add a timer mount to help you keep track of those precious seconds in front of the target or an adjustable thumb rest for added comfort. The options are endless.
